Location: the hotel was just next door to town centre, and a working vineyard. St Michael's Church was just outside the door. The rooms were new-fashioned and amazingly comfortable and had basic facilities you needed. The price was £ 67.

I got free upgrade and enjoyed it. Quiet location, Merignac airport was 16 miles away. It had a pool for guests
